An App that Detects Misinformation
The Australian Ad Observatory project was founded to build and implement new solutions to the social harms of targeted advertising. A key element of the project is the introduction of an opt-in function that enables users to be removed from receiving targeted advertising and to view or block specific types of advertising. We have extended this function by introducing the ability to view personal ads (the ads displayed by companies for the purpose of selling their products) and the option to remove targeted ads across a wide range of platforms.
